What is The Moment Membership?

The Moment Membership is a subscription-based online meditation service led by Angela Swanson. It includes live guided meditation via Zoom, an online portal with recordings, replays, and downloads, access to workshops and classes, opportunities for 1:1 coaching with Angela, a private Facebook community, and more.

Can meditation really help me?

Yes. Meditation has been a foundational practice for people from all walks of life for thousands of years. It's actually a natural state of being, one we've wandered away from here in the West. Meditation has been scientifically proven to help with focus, stress-relief, physical health, emotional intelligence, resilience, compassion, self-awareness, creativity, and so much more! As long as you can think a thought, you can meditate. To get the benefits, it's best to learn from a qualified teacher and practice consistently. A supportive community is very helpful, too!

You mentioned awakening. What does that mean?

Awakening means seeing things clearly, as they are, rather than through the lens of your conditioning, judgments, and stories. It means knowing who you really are, what you really want, and what you're capable of. Waking up (as its also called) feels like remembering or coming home to yourself.

When are the live group meditations?

What if I can't make the live meditations?

No worries! All the live sessions are recorded and stored in your member portal. You can listen to the replays when convenient for you!

I'm busy. Will I be able to fit this into my schedule?

Ahh, I get that. In addition to the live sessions, you'll also learn how to meditate unguided on your own and how to easily weave mindfulness practices into your busy life. And if you're not sure what the difference is between meditation and mindfulness, you'll learn that, too! Meditation easily works with a busy schedule and actually HELPS you do all the things you want to do -- with more ease and without all the stress. Eventually, meditation becomes not just something you do but the way you do life.

What kind of meditation do you offer?

In the live sessions, we practice from a wide variety of traditions. Types of meditation I guide are: breath awareness, body awareness, mantra, gratitude practices, intentions, self-inquiry, loving-kindness, visualizations, ho'oponopono prayer, and more. You can also learn mindful living practices like mindful eating, specific breathing exercises to help you sleep or calm down, mindful walking, mindful body scans, and more. If you choose to learn to mediate unguided (which I encourage) you'll learn the Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation Method, or SEED Method. This method includes breath and body awareness, self-inquiry, and mantra. 

Can you teach me how to meditate on my own, unguided?

Absolutely! I encourage members to establish their own daily practice at home and I teach the Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation Method, or SEED Method. All the live sessions compliment the SEED Method and help to establish and enhance your unguided practice. 

I'm new to meditation – is The Moment Membership right for me?

I'm so glad you're here! My hunch is that if you're reading this and there's something inside you saying YES, then The Moment Membership is a great decision. I've been meditating for years – is The Moment Membership right for me?

If you're looking to stay consistent, deepen your practice, meditate with others, or connect with a community -- The Moment will serve you perfectly. In my experience, having a Sangha (community) has been invaluable to my wellbeing and my growth. 

What happens if I want to cancel my subscription?

If you're on the month-to-month plan you may cancel at any time which will end your subscription at the end of the billing cycle.

If you're on the 6-mo. or 12-mo. plan, you may cancel within 7 days of purchasing. There are no refunds after 7 days.

Meditation took me a lot of times. I'd start and then back away, then start, then back away. What really helped me the very very most was I got into this group. We have accountability. We're meditating together and have the guided meditations that we can do in addition to our regular meditations. Being part of this community is really important. And I'm pretty much an introvert, not a community person, but I LOVE this! I love the people I've met in here. We all have a common goal of practicing meditation. My biggest piece of advice— try it.
